Anil Dhasmana seen at a dinner hosted by Home Minister Amit Shah to felicitate him in July 2019.
He stepped down from R-AW in June 2019.Former Research and Analysis Wing (R-AW) chief Anil Dhasmana was on Friday appointed as the new chief of National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO).
He will take charge on Saturday and serve till 65 years of age.The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet cleared the appointment.
Dhasmana would be the head of NTRO for next two years.
He will replace former Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Satish Jha.The 1981-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer's domain of expertise is considered to be Balochistan, counter-terrorism and Islamic affairs.
He also has a vast experience on Pakistan and Afghanistan.He has served in key capitals, including London and Frankfurt and has also handled South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and Europe desks.
