Congress leaders toured in the area where the minor girl died after she fell off into the drain in Hyderabad.Senior Congress leader and AICC spokesperson Dasoju Shravan on Sunday slammed Municipal Administration Minister and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao for the tragic death of a 12-year-old girl in Hyderabad and claimed "it was not an accident but a murder".The minor girl died in Hyderabad on Friday after she fell accidently fell in an open drain.Congress leader Dasoju Shravan, who met the bereaved parents of the minor girl, stressed that the death was caused due to the "negligence" of GHMC.
He demanded for a murder case to be filed against Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and local minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav."Is it not the minimum duty of GHMC to cover nalas or place fencing around open nalas? What is the GHMC Mayor doing? Where is the GHMC Commissioner? Isn't this visible to Municipal Administration Minister KTR, who boasts that the TRS government has spent Rs 60,000 Crore for Hyderabad's development? Where did all that money go? The death of Sumedha is not an accident but murder by reckless TRS Government and GHMC," Shravan said.The Congress leader demanded that the government pay an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased minor girl.The Congress leader also said that minor girl's parents have expressed willingness to take up a legal battle against the government to avoid such unfortunate incidents in the future.
He assured Congress party's support to the parents of the minor.Meanwhile, Congress leaders also toured in the area, where the minor girl died after she fell off into the open drain, and took stock of the open nalas and inquired about the events leading to her the death.
