INC spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala, Congress MPs KC Venugopal, Pratap Singh Bajwa, Rajeev Satav and Shakti Sinh Gohil were part of this event."It is a black day for parliamentary democracy in India," KC Venugopal said in reference to the Opposition's allegations that two farm-related bills were passed in Rajya Sabha in a manner which contradicts parliamentary procedure.He went on to add, "Farmer organisations are on the streets, they are out protesting despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is the duty of the Opposition to raise their concerns.""Congress' chief whip Jairam Ramesh requested that minister's reply and passing of bill can be done tomorrow but deputy chairman (Harivansh Singh) did not bother," KC Venugopal said during the press conference adding, "Fundamental right of an MP (to seek division) has been curtailed.
It has not happened ever before."While alleging that whatever happened in Rajya Sabha on Sunday was "conspiracy by the BJP", KC Venugopal said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh justified the deputy chairman's actions instead of condemning the practice."Modi government has stabbed the farmer in his back The 2020 freedom struggle will be fought against black-English of Modi ji's east India company," spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said.
He went on to add that if the government decides to add "MSP" to the farm-related bills, farmer groups will readily withdraw the agitation.
