A prominent Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader and cleric, Noor Islam Nizami, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday in Pakistan'sKhyber-Pakhtunkhwa'sNorth Waziristan district.According to Pakistani media, the incident took place in Miranshah, close to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.North Waziristan District Police Officer (DPO) confirmed that Nizami died from gunshot wounds.Police have launched an investigation.JUI-F is a political party in Pakistan and is considered the biggest religious-political party in the country.
