Supporters of Brazils conservative ex-president Jair Bolsonaro stormed federal government structures in Brasilia on Sunday, one week after the inauguration of leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.Russian authorities used assistance for Lula, who now commands the country that like Russia is a member of the club of BRICS emerging economies:-- Konstantin Kosachev, chairman of the upper-house Federation Councils Foreign Affairs Committee: I remained in Brazil when Lula was inaugurated and saw whatever with my own eyes: there were no indications of disturbances at all.
What happened now is difficult to describe and, from my point of view, non-systemic.
Writing on the Telegram messaging app, Kosachev said: Its an odd and ridiculous putsch into no place in Brazil ...
What remains is to wish the remote and yet close Brazil the restoration of order, stability and prosperity, and to want Lula da Silva self-confidence in his rightness and consistency in his actions.
-- Andrei Klishas, chairman of the Federation Councils Constitutional Committee: The political crisis in Brazil must be dealt with within the structure of the nations constitution.
A coup detat can not be a way out of a political crisis, this holds true for both Brazil and Ukraine, Klishas stated, describing Ukraines Euromaidan revolution of 2014 that ousted Kyivs Russia-friendly president.-- Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson: We condemn in the strongest terms the actions of the provocateurs of the riots and we completely support Brazils President Lula da Silva.
